Community Consultation
The City has consultation guidelines to ensure that relevant groups and stakeholders are effectively consulted, prior to decision making. It is important that our community and stakeholders are provided with opportunities to make an appropriate contribution to the decision making process in order to meet statutory, operational, policy and strategic outcomes.

Research
The City of Belmont likes to keep in touch with the local community and regularly conducts surveys on varying topics affecting the City. A Community and Business Perceptions Survey is conducted annually, the results of which help guide us in how we interact with the public and how we go about delivering our services to our customers.
Results and feedback received through the Community and Business Perceptions Survey are considered each year when the Strategic Plan is reviewed. Strategies are planned to address key priority areas, as identified by local community members and businesses through the survey.
