Location

The Belmont Business Park lies in the centre of Belmont. The Park is bounded by Great Eastern Highway, Alexander Road, Knutsford Avenue and Belgravia Street. The Belmont Business Park is located between the Perth CBD and the Perth airports and is the closest, major, commercial area to the Perth CBD.

Economy

The Belmont Business Park is home to more than 800 businesses from a diverse range of industries. This mix of innovating and successful businesses employs 9,000 workers. Although no one single industry dominates the Business Park, a number of industries have found a niche including a range of manufacturers, construction, wholesale trade, professional and technical services and medical and other health care service providers.

Accessibility and Infrastructure

Recent infrastructure projects have elevated the strategic location of the Belmont Business Park. These seek to capitalise on the area’s location between Perth CBD and the Perth Airport and also the area’s connections to Kewdale, Welshpool and other major industrial areas to the south of the Swan River. These projects include:

Belmont Business Park Infrastructure Upgrade Project

Planned completion – 2019

The Belmont Business Park Infrastructure Project will address transport/ movement into the business park as well as establish critical links with the Belmont Centre, surrounding suburbs and other metropolitan activity centres via significant improvements to existing infrastructure. This project will result in the area becoming a true business gateway for the Perth Inner City.

Gateway WA

Value - $1.2B
Completed - 2016

Gateway WA has delivered efficient road and bridge network to the new Perth Airport precinct, surrounding businesses and residential areas, and effectively services the area’s well established and rapidly growing transport and logistics economy.

Great Eastern Highway Upgrade
Value - $280M
Completed – 2013

This project saw a 4.2 km section of the highway upgraded to six lanes with a central median, on-road cycling facilities and a continuous pedestrian path. The completion of the Great Eastern Highway Upgrade has seen a renewed focus on development along this critical transport link.


Urban amenity 

The Belmont Business Park benefits from stunning natural amenity owing to its proximity to the Swan River and the presence of Severin Walk. Severin Walk is a tree lined waterway walk, with several picnic areas and places to rest. It is part of a walk trail from Faulkner Park Belmont to the Swan River at Adachi Park.

Historically, industrial estates in Perth have provided very limited urban amenity for workers. This is changing as businesses recognise the value employees place on amenities such as retail and entertainment. Belmont Business Park is unique in that it benefits from excellent proximity and connectivity to the Belmont City Centre. This proximity is magnified by the Belmont BUSLink: a free lunch time shuttle bus service connecting businesses in Belmont Business Park with the Belmont City Centre.
