The City’s online community statistics data packages, Profile and Forecast, have been updated with the latest 2006 Census, Australian Bureau of Statistics data. View the Community Profile or Population Forecast packages by clicking the links.
The Community Profile package is designed to inform community groups, Council, investors, business, students and the general public on the City’s current and historical demographics. The Population Forecasts package provides information on how the City’s demographics are likely to change between now and 2021. Both products are formatted to represent the data in simple, clear tables and charts with concise factual commentary.
It is now easy to view statistical profiles of either the entire City or an individual suburb, using topics such as ‘how many people live here?’, ‘who are we?’, ‘what do we do?’ and ‘how do we live?’ Additional information includes current population estimates, residential development and working population. This information is free for everyone as a service from Council.
