The Property and Economic Development Team
Our Property and Economic Development Team seek to proactively meet business community needs by providing a one stop service, guiding business through the regulatory process to address local opportunities and concerns. We encourage and assist investment in the local community, including the provision of economic data, liaison with government departments, site suggestion and assistance with planning approvals. From local procurement to joint venture construction projects with private business, the City adopts innovative business practices to ensure the best outcomes for the community.
In the past year we have successfully implemented a number of economic development initiatives designed to encourage and facilitate business here in Belmont. These include: the hosting of a suite of online statistical data packages on the City’s website; formation of the Belmont Business Advisory Group; the hosting of tri-annual business briefing events; our Property Alert ‘property finder’ initiative; Office Market reporting statistics; and membership of the Property Council. Keep an eye on us as there’s more planned for this year!
Property Alert!
The Property Alert! Business Service is a communication to local property agents and developers highlighting opportunities in Belmont. Businesses can use the service to locate, relocate or grow their business in Belmont. They can do this by indicating their requirements and interest to lease or buy a property and contacting our Property and Economic Development Team. A monthly Property Alert! is sent to local property agents and developers, who can then respond to the opportunity.
