NAIDOC Student Award
The annual NAIDOC Student Award is a City of Belmont initiative which recognizes an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student’s personal achievement during the past 12 months. The Award may be in respect of achievement and leading by example in sport, education, music, art, and culture or community service.
Participating schools are responsible for nominating one student to receive a City of Belmont NAIDOC Student Award. Nominations for the award are open to all student years.
A framed Certificate of Achievement and a book voucher is presented by the Mayor (or a Council representative of the City of Belmont) at each graduation ceremony or final assembly in Term 4.
Previous recipients of the award have been thrilled and honoured to be nominated and many schools in the Belmont area have welcomed the initiative.
Please contact your local school to enquire if they participate in this initiative.
Please contact the City's Community Development team on 9477 7219 if you have any further queries.
