 Cultural Diversity Advisory Group

As a precautionary measure, all City of Belmont events including Advisory Group meetings in the next 4 weeks (up to and including Sunday 19 April) have been cancelled effective immediately following Federal Government directives that all organised, non-essential gatherings not proceed to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus. The safety, health and wellbeing of our local community is our top priority. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

We recommend you keep up-to-date with the City’s response to COVID-19 and impacts on future events via our official channels, being the City’s website and social media.

The purpose of the Cultural Diversity Advisory Group (CDAG) is to provide a forum and opportunity for community members and stakeholders to be able to provide recommendations and feedback in regards to the implementation, ongoing monitoring and review of the City of Belmont’s 'Multicultural Action Plan: Connecting, Celebrating and Growing 2016 - 2018'.

Broadly, the CDAG will support the City of Belmont to meet the relevant Social Belmont actions in the Council's Strategic Community Plan 2012 to 2032, in particular those parts of the Plan that relate to people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse background. In addition, the CDAG provides a vital link and facilitates an important consultative role amongst od diverse communities, the City of Belmont Council and staff.

The Cultural Diversity Advisory Group meets bi-monthly at the City of Belmont Civic Centre and member participation is voluntary.
