Disability Access and Inclusion Plan Consultation
The City of Belmont is committed to ensuring that its community is accessible and inclusive for all residents, including those with disabilities, their families and carers. The City acknowledges that people with disability have a right to access services, buildings and events and to be treated with dignity and respect, which all people need in order to feel a sense of belonging and to live healthy productive lives.
The City's current Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2012-2017 is soon to expire and we are commencing the development of a new plan for 2018-2022. We recognise the importance of consulting people from across the community, from those living with a disability or caring for someone with a disability to those who provide services in the area.
The City will be hosting two community forums which will include presentations from guest speakers and the opportunity to share your experiences and views on accessibility and inclusion in the City of Belmont.
