The City of Belmont is proud to provide the community with FREE and LOW cost Active, Nutritious and Creative Lifestyles classes in our Summer series.
Come and experience something new and exciting that Belmont has to offer!

Yoga in the Park - Series 2

Join Sue Byrne from YogaLife Wellness Centre for a fun, dynamic yet deeply relaxing series of yoga classes. These classes are suitable for ‘every-body’, and every level from beginners to advanced. You will learn breathing exercises to steady the body and the mind, yoga poses to stretch the body and build strength and flexibility, practice meditation and mindfulness and improve your overall health and wellness to shine from the inside out!

Bring: Please bring your own mat and towel.
Cost*: FREE for residents; $80 for non-residents for the 7 week season
Venue: Cracknell Park, Rivervale
When: Saturdays, 10am to 11am, 4 November to 16 December 2017 (7 weeks)

Pram Jam - Parents walking group
 
Pram Jam is a walking group for parents and caregivers. The walk is a great way to get your 30 minutes of physical activity while catching up with likeminded people in the lovely Faulkner Park. The walk is self-paced and led by local volunteers. Each walk starts out the front of Ruth Faulkner Public Library.
 
Cost*: FREE
Venue: Meeting at Ruth Faulkner Public Library

Christmas Cooking Food Theatre  

Want to know about what fresh, fun, easy and healthy options you can whip up for Christmas this year? 

Come to Faulkner Park in Cloverdale an hour before Carols in the Park to be inspired for silly season and get the opportunity to sample some of the goodies cooked right in front of your eyes.

Cost*: FREE for residents and non-residents

Quick Healthy Meals with Dietician Sarah Moore

This session will cover some basics on food preparation, quick healthy meals and common mistakes that families make. This is a perfect workshop for parents who are responsible for making meals, snacks and lunch boxes day in day out.

Painting with Acrylics

This six week course is designed for those wishing to take their acrylic painting skills to the next level. Learn about the rules of painting with WA artist Shirley Winstanley in a fun environment and capture your subject on canvas.

Basic materials supplied. Suitable for all levels.

Cost*: City of Belmont residents - $70 per term
           Non-residents - $120 per term

Painting with Pastels

Be inspired by award winning WA artist Val Brooks to create vibrant paintings from chalk pastels. Develop simple techniques for applying colour, and use light and shade to maximise the impact of your paintings.

Basic materials supplied. Suitable for all levels.

            Non-residents - $120
