Wellness In Belmont - Programs and Resources
The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic encouraged all to stay home as much as possible. However, with activities resuming to normal but with strict protocols such as maintaning correct hygeine practices at all times and distance still in place, in person events have resumed in the City. If you are still not comfortble participating in person, you still have online programs to participate in. There are plenty of free online resources to keep you healthy & active at home. Resources include online videos, live stream classes, or printing off hardcopy programs.
Behaviour Change & Motivation: The key to real change?
Changing behaviour is one of the most difficult things we can try to do. Whether the change involves diet, exercise, habits, or anything else, the ultimate goal is always trying to solve or alleviate a problem.
In this session, you’ll learn about:
- Key ingredients for change
- Why change strategies that rely on fear and regret don't work
- The power of failing at least once
This seminar is suitable for teenagers and adults of all ages. Light refreshments will be provided.

Seniors 'Come and Try' Harman Park Outdoor Exercise Equipment
You are invited to come and try the new outdoor fitness equipment at Harman Park. Under the guidance of experienced personal trainers you will be shown how to use the outdoor fitness equipment and given tips to cater to your own abilities, build up your knowledge and skills in this 4 weeks 'Come and Try' sessions. These sessions are for seniors with all fitness levels.
When: Thursdays, 24 September 2020 - Thursday 15 October 2020, 9:30am - 10:30am

Meet your neighbours and get fit with 6 weeks of Outdoor Fitness Sessions!
The sessions are fun, safe and open to all ages and
abilities, from complete beginners through to very active.
Ensure you bring a water bottle, sweat towel and your enthusiasm.
