The City of Belmont is proud to provide a variety of opportunities to help its residents become and stay physical fit, healthy and a part of the community. There are many health, physical activity and leisure activities available as a result, including; CountUSin, Active Nutritious and Creative Lifestyle term programs, outdoor exercise equipment and programs, walking groups and maps, plus local events and programs. We hope that these opportunities will help you feel a part of the community and to achieve your health and fitness goals.

CountUSin – Creating Healthier Communities Together

CountUSin is a 10 week health and wellness program that is designed to increase your awareness and knowledge of and access to physical activity and nutrition programs in the City of Belmont. The program is LOW COST and is for City of Belmont residents aged 18 and over who do not currently work full time. Click here for the latest brochure.

Active Nutritious and Creative Lifestyle Classes – Term Programs

The City provides LOW COST community programmes that include physical activity, nutrition and art classes. The terms follow the school term and the calendar of events may change from term to term. Outdoor Exercise Equipment

The City of Belmont has installed outdoor exercise equipment at Tomato Lake and Hardey park to help its residents keep fit and active. The equipment offers a wide variety of exercise opportunities for FREE. To find out how, take a look at the programs provided.

Community Gardens


The City’s Community Place Making team is proud to support local community gardens within the City of Belmont. The City acknowledges that the establishment of these groups encourages neighbours and community members to connect over a shared passion for gardening.
