 Park and Reserve Maintenance

This page is updated on a regular basis so that you can find out what maintenance is occurring within the City of Belmont's parks and reserves.

City Wide Weed Control ​City of Belmont ​As part of the City’s Annual Maintenance Programme, the City’s contractor will spray kerbs, medians and footpaths using 'Glyphosate', weather permitting.

Playground Replacement​ Peachey Park ​As part of the City's on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities for the community, the adventure bike track and playground equipment will be upgraded. Upgrade works will be conducted in two stages. Stage 1 works will involve alterations to the adventure bike track, installation of additional seating and nature play elements. Stage 1 works have been placed on hold.
​Powerline Pruning Program - South Side ​City of Belmont The City will be conducting steet tree powerline pruning within the South Side area of City of Belmont

To ensure the City's tree pruning contractor has the required access, please ensure that vehicles, boats, trailers and other potential obstructions are not left on the associated verge during the day.

A small amount of leaf debris is to be expected following pruning.

The works will be conducted during
6 January through to 27 March 2020.

​Playground Replacement ​Tomato Lake East Playgound (President Street) As part of the City's on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities for the community, the playground equipment on the President Street side of Tomato Lake will be removed and replaced. ​The works will be conducted from 29 January 2020 to 12 February 2020.

The playground will be closed during upgrade works. Alternative playground equipment is located Scenic Drive side of Tomato Lake.
