 Park and Reserve Maintenance

This page is updated on a regular basis so that you can find out what maintenance is occurring within the City of Belmont's parks and reserves.

The City is offering free mulch to residents


Currently on hold. Please contact the City to be added to the waiting list.

        In accordance with WA Transport Laws please ensure you bring a tarpaulin to cover your mulch load and secure the load as failure to do so will result in being refused mulch.   

If any businesses or community organisations located in the City of Belmont are interested in mulch for use on their premises, please contact the Parks, Leisure & Environment Dept on 9477 7257 or email parks@belmont.wa.gov.au to discuss options.


City Wide Weed Control ​City of Belmont ​As part of the City’s Annual Maintenance Programme, the City’s contractor will spray kerbs, medians and footpaths using 'Glyphosate', weather permitting.

Playground Replacement​ Peachey Park ​As part of the City's on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities for the community, the adventure bike track and playground equipment will be upgraded. Upgrade works will be conducted in two stages. Stage 1 works will involve alterations to the adventure bike track, installation of additional seating and nature play elements. Stage 1 works have been placed on hold.
​Powerline Pruning Program - North Side ​City of Belmont The City will be conducting street tree powerline pruning within the The City will be conducting street tree powerline pruning within the North Side area of City of Belmont

To ensure the City's tree pruning contractor has the required access, please ensure that vehicles, boats, trailers and other potential obstructions are not left on the associated verge during the day.

A small amount of leaf debris is to be expected following pruning.

The works will be conducted during
9 March through to 30 May 2020.

Exercise Equipment ​Harman Park As part of the City's on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities for the community and improving the quality of life for older residents, age-friendly outdoor exercise equipment will be installed. ​The works will commence on
30 March 2020 with an estimated duration of three weeks.

The playground will remain open during construction works.
