 Park and Reserve Maintenance

This page is updated on a regular basis so that you can find out what maintenance is occurring within the City of Belmont's parks and reserves.

Below is a list of current and upcoming works within the City.
 

Park and Reserve Works

 
Activity Location Description of Works Proposed Dates of Works​
​Weed Control in Turf Areas ​All Active and Passive Reserves within the City of Belmont As part of the City’s Annual Maintenance Programme, the City’s contractor will be applying a herbicide to all Active and Passive Reserves within the City. ​ The works will commence 25 June 2018 (weather permitting) with an estimated duration of five days.​
​Park Upgrade
​Copley Park Stage 3 (Armadale Road to St Kilda Road)
The works will involve: renewing the existing irrigation system, building new garden beds and installing additional seating, installing steppers, a swing and bollards. Works will commence in July 2018 with an estimated duration of three to four months.
​Minor Park Upgrade ​Selby Park, Redcliffe ​The works will involve installing: a new basket swing with softfall surface, a new shelter with seating providing access for wheelchairs and additional concrete path providing better access to the playground.
It is anticipated works will commence in May 2018 and be completed by the end of July 2018.

The playground may not be accessible for a period during these works.​
​Minor Park Upgrade ​Adachi Park, Belmont
As part of City’s on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities within the community, the playground equipment at Adachi Park will be removed and replaced. ​It is anticipated works will commence 5 June 2018 with an estimated duration of two weeks.
​Bollard Replacement ​Waterway Crescent, Ascot ​As part of City’s on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities within the community, the bollards along Waterway Crescent adjacent to Freshwater Lakes, Riverina Park and Pitman Park will be removed and replaced. ​It is anticipated works will commence in mid-June 2018 with an estimated duration of two weeks.
​Path Installation
​Tomato Lake, Kewdale ​A new 3m wide shared path will be installed along the property boundary of Tomato Lake, connecting Cohn Street with President Street. ​Clearing: Monday, 11 June to Friday, 15 June 2018.

Trenching, path construction, installation of bollard lighting and bicycle repair station: Monday, 18 June to Friday, 6 July 2018.
