 Park and Reserve Maintenance

This page is updated on a regular basis so that you can find out what maintenance is occurring within the City of Belmont's parks and reserves.

Powerline Pruning
South Side - ​City ​of Belmont As part of the City's Annual Powerline Pruning Program, the City's contractor will be conducting street tree powerline pruning within the south area of the City (see map).

To ensure the City's tree pruning contractor has the required access please ensure that vehicles, boats, trailers and other potential obstructions are not left parked on the associated verges during the day.
Pruning works will be conducted from 14 January through to 29 March 2019.

Please note a small amount of leaf debris is to be expected following pruning.
​Powerline Pruning ​North Side - City of Belmont
As part of the City's Annual Powerline Pruning Program, the City's contractor will be conducting street tree powerline pruning within the south area of the City (see map).

To ensure the City's tree pruning contractor has the required access please ensure that vehicles, boats, trailers and other potential obstructions are not left parked on the associated verges during the day.
Pruning works will be conducted from 18 March through to 31 May 2019.

Please note a small amount of leaf debris is to be expected following pruning.
City Wide Weed Control ​City of Belmont ​As part of the City’s Annual Maintenance Programme, the City’s contractor will spray kerbs, medians and footpaths using 'Glyphosate', weather permitting.

January and April 2019​
Playground Replacement​ Aquanita Park, Belmont ​As part of the City's on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities for the community, the playground equipment in Aquanita Park will be removed and replaced. Removal and replacement works will commence 6 May 2019 and take approx two weeks to complete.

The playground will be closed during upgrade works.
Playground Replacement​ Volcano Playground​ ​As part of the City's on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities for the community, a section of existing playground equipment in Volcano Playground will be removed and replaced. Removal and replacement works are scheduled to commence on 10 June 2019 and due for completion on 25 June 2019. The Volcano Playground will re-open on 26 June 2019.

The playground will be closed during upgrade works.
