 Park and Reserve Maintenance

This page is updated on a regular basis so that you can find out what maintenance is occurring within the City of Belmont's parks and reserves.

City Wide Weed Control ​City of Belmont ​As part of the City’s Annual Maintenance Programme, the City’s contractor will spray kerbs, medians and footpaths using 'Glyphosate', weather permitting.

​City Wide Wetting Agent Application
City of Belmont​ As part of the City's Annual Maintenance Programme, the City's contractor will be applying a wetting agent to the City's Parks and Reserves. September 2019

Wetting Agent Schedule
​Playground Maintenance ​Volcano Playground ​As part of the City's Annual Maintenance Programme, the Volcano Playground will be closed for maintenance. Alternative playground equipment is available at Tomato Lake, Oats Street, Kewdale.
The playground will be closed from Monday, 14 October 2019 to Friday, 25 October 2019.


The playground will re-open on Saturday, 26 October 2019
Playground Replacement​ Peachey Park ​As part of the City's on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities for the community, the adventure bike track and playground equipment will be upgraded. Upgrade works will be conducted in two stages. Stage 1 works will involve alterations to the adventure bike track, installation of additional seating and nature play elements. Stage 1 works have been placed on hold.
Freshwater Lakes ​City of Belmont ​As part of the City's Maintenance Programme, the City's contractor will be cleaning out the series of pools and waterfalls of stagnant water and sludge.
