 Park and Reserve Maintenance

This page is updated on a regular basis so that you can find out what maintenance is occurring within the City of Belmont's parks and reserves.

Below is a list of current and upcoming works within the City.

​Playground Replacement
Peet Park, Kewdale
Pitman Park, Ascot
​As part of City’s on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities for the community, the playground equipment in Peet Park and Pitman Park will be upgraded in 2018/19.

Playgrounds will be closed during upgrade works.
Peet Park: It is anticipated the playground removal and replacement works will commence in early January 2019 and be completed by early February 2019.

Pitman Park: It is anticipated the playground removal and replacement works will commence in January 2019 and be completed by late February 2019.
​Turf Renovations ​City ​of Belmont As part of the City's Annual Maintenance Program, the City's contractor will be undertaking turf renovation works at various parks within the City. These works may include vertimowing, top dressing and a low mow dependant on turf requirements for each park.​

Please be advised that some activities can produce airborne dust particles. The City will take all appropriate measures to limit inconvenience to residents and park users.

The scheduled dates can be subject to change due to the variability of weather conditions, in particular wind speed and direction.
City Wide Weed Control ​City of Belmont ​As part of the City’s Annual Maintenance Programme, the City’s contractor will spray kerbs, medians and footpaths using 'Glyphosate', weather permitting.
