 Park and Reserve Maintenance

This page is updated on a regular basis so that you can find out what maintenance is occurring within the City of Belmont's parks and reserves.

Below is a list of current and upcoming works within the City.

​Powerline Pruning Program ​South Side
​The City will be conducting powerline pruning within the south side area of the City of Belmont as shown in the Power Line Pruning - Map of South Side.
​The works will be conducted during 9 January through to 21 April 2017.
​Powerline Pruning Program ​North Side ​The City will be conducting powerline pruning within the north side area of the City of Belmont as shown in the Powerline Pruning - Map of North Side. ​The works will be conducted during 16 March through to 31 May 2017.
​Powerline Pruning Program ​Ascot Horse Area ​The City will be conducting powerline pruning within the Ascot Horse Area The works will be conducted during 01 May through to 05 May 2017.
To ensure the City’s tree pruning contractor has the required access please ensure that vehicles, boats, trailers and other potential obstructions are not left parked on the associated verges during the day.
A small amount of leaf debris is to be expected following pruning.

​Park Upgrade
(Stage 2)
Copley Park, Rivervale
(Armadale Rd to St Kilda Rd)
​The works will involve:
installing new pedestrian lights, removal of existing light poles by Western Power, renewing the existing irrigation system, building new garden beds, installing additional seating and exercise equipment.
The works will commence in early March 2017 with an estimated duration of three to four months.
​Park Upgrade Albert Jordan Park, Ascot​ The works will involve:
removing old infrastructure, renewing the existing irrigation system, building new garden beds, building a new playground, installing additional seating and exercise equipment.
The works will commence in March 2017 with an estimated duration of four months.
​For park users safety, the City requests that residents with properties adjacent to Albert Jordan Park with rear access refrain from using access from now until project completion estimated to be late June 2017.
​Park Upgrade ​Frank Treen Park, Ascot The works will involve:
renewing the existing irrigation system, building new garden beds and replacing existing seating.​
The works will commence in March 2017 with an estimated duration of four months.
​Weed Control
City of Belmont
As part of the City’s Annual Maintenance Programme, the City’s contractor will begin spraying kerbs, medians and footpaths using Glyphosate. The works will commence 18 April 2017, weather permitting, for an approx. period of four weeks.
