 Park and Reserve Maintenance

This page is updated on a regular basis so that you can find out what maintenance is occurring within the City of Belmont's parks and reserves.

​Powerline Pruning ​North Side - City of Belmont
As part of the City's Annual Powerline Pruning Program, the City's contractor will be conducting street tree powerline pruning within the south area of the City (see map).

To ensure the City's tree pruning contractor has the required access please ensure that vehicles, boats, trailers and other potential obstructions are not left parked on the associated verges during the day.
Pruning works will be conducted from 18 March through to 30 June 2019.

Please note a small amount of leaf debris is to be expected following pruning.
City Wide Weed Control ​City of Belmont ​As part of the City’s Annual Maintenance Programme, the City’s contractor will spray kerbs, medians and footpaths using 'Glyphosate', weather permitting.

Shade Shelter
​Belmont Skate Park As part of the City's on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities for the community, a shade shelter is being installed in the skate park. The installation of the shelter will commence 14 June 2019, works will take approx 2 weeks​ to complete.
​Playground Replacement ​Wicca Park
​As part of City’s on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities for the community, stage two upgrade works involving the removal of the old sub-standard playground equipment and the installation of additional play elements will be undertaken in June/July 2019. The old playground equipment will be removed following the installation of the new nature play elements in June/July 2019.

The majority of the park and some elements of the existing playground will remain accessible during the works.​
Playground Replacement​ Volcano Playground​ ​As part of the City's on-going commitment to enhancing the quality of parks and facilities for the community, a section of existing playground equipment in Volcano Playground will be removed and replaced. Removal and replacement works are scheduled to commence on 10 June 2019 and due for completion on 25 June 2019. The Volcano Playground will re-open on 26 June 2019.

The playground will be closed during upgrade works.
