 Sports Fields

The City’s active reserves are predominantly used for sports such as cricket, football and soccer. These reserves are maintained to a high standard to ensure the surface is suitable for the playing of each sport. There are ten active sporting fields/reserves located throughout the City.

 

Belmont Sport and Recreation Centre

Corner Abernethy Road and Keane Street, Cloverdale

Four bowling greens and club facilities are available (members only). Soccer is also played here during the winter months. Wetland areas with native birdlife are located within the confines for nature enthusiasts. Entrance off Abernethy Road.

 

Belmont Oval

Opposite Forster Park, Abernethy Road and Keane Street, Cloverdale

Belmont Oval accommodates senior soccer as well as a dog exercise and training area and a children's playground. Entrance off Abernethy Road.

 

Gerry Archer Athletic Centre

Corner of Leach Highway and Abernethy Road, Cloverdale

This venue caters for all athletics field events and includes a 400 metre grassed athletic track, long jump pits, discus, shotput and javelin areas. It is available to schools for hire. Pavillion and grassed embankments are available for spectators to sit back and enjoy sporting events and carnivals. Soccer is played there during the winter months. Entrance is off Robinson Avenue.

 

Forster Park

Corner Keane Street and Abernethy Road, Cloverdale

Across the road from Belmont Oval and Cloverdale Sport and Recreation Centre, Forster Park has a large turf surface which accommodates football, baseball and tee-ball. The park also has a half court basketball court and a children's playground.

 

Redcliffe Park

Corner Field Avenue and Morgan Road, Redcliffe

Redcliffe Park has a large turf surface which accommodates softball. There is also a children's playground and a water compensation basin harbouring native wildlife.

 

Centenary Park

Corner Daley Street and Hardy Road, Belmont

Centenary Park is located close to the Swan River. It is a great park both for a short walk or as starting point for a longer walk. It is used for cricket in the summer and has a cricket practice net area and for rugby in the winter.

 

Middleton Park

Corner Middleton Street and Garvey Street, Cloverdale

Middleton Park has a large turf surface which accommodates cricket and also has crciket practice nets. Junior and senior football is also played here. It is a good place to walk the dog or take the kids to the playground.

 

Miles Park

Corner Wright and Belgravia Streets, Cloverdale

Miles Park has a large turf surface which accommodates soccer. It is a good place to walk the dog or take the kids to play at the playground.

 

Peet Park

Corner Wright and Armadale Road, Cloverdale
 
Peet Park has a large turf surface which accommodates cricket and also has cricket practice nets. It is also used for football in the winter. It is a good place to walk the dog or take the kids to play on the playground.

 

Wilson Park

 
Corner of Campbell Street and Kooyong Road, Rivervale. 

It has a number of netball and basketball courts, tennis courts and a playground. Wilson park also has a turf area for recreational purposes.
