Please note irrigation works are taking place on the North West side of Tomato Lake from Thursday 18 August and are scheduled to finish on Monday 29 September 2023.

Located at Oats Street in Kewdale, Tomato Lake contains a wetland, a central lake, 1.6km walking trail, nature sanctuary island and boardwalk across the lake. There are toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and playground with a space net rope climb and sufficient turf to play games.

The "Boardwalk/ Gazebo" that extends over the lake is a popular area for weddings. Use the button to submit an enquiry.

The lake is also home to diverse birdlife including ducks, ibis and swans.

To reduce the risk of wildlife injury and impact to the lake edge, the City of Belmont discourages the use of motorised and non-motorised craft on the water body (including hobby boats).
