Who Needs Netflix?

Meet Kanopy, the streaming service that's just like Netflix, only free!

With more than 30,000 titles Kanopy has the best of Aussie classics, independent films, festival winners, animations, world movies, documentaries and so much more. All available on your computer, smart TV or mobile device.  

Your Library membership provides access to up to four films a month each accessible for three days. Simply sign up with an email and password, add your Library card number, sit back and relax. Stream Kanopy now.​​

Looking for some hard facts? Whether you are researching for work, school or just want definitive fact-checked information the Library has you covered! 

Encyclopedia Britannica Online is available free of charge, day or night. All you need is your library card and PIN. Entries are available at reading levels to suit all ages and include links to images, primary source and further reading.    

The Cochrane Library is a collection of evidence-based medicine databases, giving you access to evidence-based research to inform decisions about your health and that of your loved ones.

Did you know your Library membership comes with access to the West Australian and Sunday Times online? The West Online has digital newspapers dating from July 2004 right through to today.

You can borrow eBooks, audiobooks and magazines from anywhere at any time to read on your device or personal computer. All you need is your Library card and PIN.

Games and Apps for Growing Minds


   - Busythings keeps children from two to twelve 'edu-tained' with adorable and engaging games focussing on maths, spelling and procedural thinking. 
   - Storybox Library is a video library of oral storytelling. Children can browse and view high profile Australian storytellers and actors reading the best children's books of past and present.​Choose State Library of Western Australia from the Library drop-down menu and enter your Ruth Faulkner Library card number. 
   - Encyclopedia Britannica Online will inspire your child to explore their interests with fact-checked, child-friendly information. The site also provides links to age-appropriate trusted websites and games.
