Belmont Interest Group (B.I.G.)

Third Monday of each month, 2pm to 3pm.

Belmont Interest Group (B.I.G.) is for adults of all ages where you can relax and enjoy good company. Listen to guest speakers and presenters and join in discussions about people, places, events and contemporary issues.

For those with difficulty accessing or using public transport, a transport service within City of Belmont boundaries is available.

Belmont Book Club

First Wednesday of each month, 2pm to 3pm.

If you have an interest in reading and enjoy discussing books in good company, you are most welcome to come along. The book club features occasional guest speakers, poetry, short story discussions, a fun quiz or two, author profiles and lots more. Each meeting is followed by afternoon tea. 

2019 Sessions: 6 February to 4 December.

Conversation Class

Every Thursday, 3pm to 4:30pm.

Are you newly settled to Australia and would like to improve your English skills?

Join our Conversation Class for an opportunity to meet people, make friends and improve your English speaking skills with a trained tutor. No bookings required.

2019 Sessions: 7 February to 19 December.

The League of Extraordinary Knitters

Fortnightly on Tuesdays, 10am to 12noon.

An informal knitting circle to knit, share patterns, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and make new friends.

2019 Sessions: 15 January to 3 December.

Retro Games - Get on Board!

Weekly on Wednesdays, 10am to 12noon.

A chance to enjoy games from yesteryear, such as Monopoly, Scrabble, Mahjong, cards and more. No batteries required! 

For anyone aged 18 or over. 

2019 Sessions: 2 January to 18 December.

Person of Interest (P.O.I.)

Once a month. 

Join us for the Person of Interest series curated by the Library and Heritage team. Explore fascinating ideas, perspectives and stories ranging from historical tales and local histories to current events. Previous sessions have included forensics, health and wellbeing author talks and so much more.

Person of Interest will educate, entertain and energise your evening.

Third Tuesday of each month, 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Are you interested in writing?  Did you know that belonging to a writer's group can increase your productivity and boost your motivation?

Be inspired and meet othe r writers in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
