In line with the direction provided by the Federal Government, the City has cancelled all regular library programs, events, workshops and activities held in the library building at this time.  

You will find online workshops, programs and activities for all ages being added to our Special Events for Adults and Special Events for Children pages during this period. 

We recommend you keep up-to-date with the City’s response to COVID-19 via this webpage and social media and the City's COVID19 #Beconnected Portal. ​

Person of Interest (P.O.I.) Online


Once a month. 

Join us for the Person of Interest series curated by the Library and Heritage team. Explore fascinating ideas, perspectives, and stories ranging from historical tales and local histories to current events. 

This month join award-winning leader, international keynote speaker, consultant and author, Lucy Bloom, as she describes how to make kindness and courage a regular practice and why an appetite for risk is good for business​

Belmont Book Club Online

First Wednesday of each month, 2pm to 3pm.​

Looking for your next great read? Discuss and review books of all genres and meet like-minded readers at our monthly book club. Book Clubs are held via Zoom and include an option for those who would rather dial in using a landline telephone.

Belmont Writer's Group Online

Second Tuesday of each month, 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Are you interested in writing?  Did you know that belonging to a writer's group can increase​ your productivity and boost your motivation?

Be inspired and meet other writers in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Writer's Group is held via Zoom and includes an option for those who would rather dial in using a landline telephone.

Belmont Interest Group (B.I.G.) is for adults of all ages. Relax and enjoy good company while listening to guest speakers and presenters. For those with difficulty accessing or using public transport, a transport service within City of Belmont boundaries is available on request.
