Life with Dementia

Do you work or live with people living with dementia? A family member? A friend? Or a neighbour?

Then please join us at the City of Belmont  for the opportunity to hear from renowned educator, international speaker and founder of Memory Bridge - Michael Verde.

Described as inspiring and life-changing, Michael Verde’s talks are not to be missed.

There will be two presentations offering different themes held at the City of Belmont Civic Centre, 215 Wright Street, Cloverdale.

Session 1

Being with people living with dementia - how to be so that they are not left feeling the pain of isolation, abandonment and loneliness. This session will focus on those working with people living with dementia, but is open for everyone to attend.
When: 10am - 12pm, 6 August 2019

Session 2
What people with dementia need most from us - is us. Creating real emotional connections with someone living with dementia.
When: 6pm - 8pm, 6 August 2019

Belmont Memory Cafe

Do you, a family member or friend live with dementia? Join us for a coffee, a chat and the chance to make new friends.
Alzheimer’s WA and the City of Belmont are partnering with Tavolo Café to launch the Belmont Memory Café. A memory café is a regular meet up in a friendly venue where people living with dementia and their friends, family members and carers can share a coffee, cake and a chat.
The Belmont Memory Cafe meets at 10.30am on the first Wednesday of each month at Tavolo Cafe in Cloverdale.
