Over $10,000 in Prizes to be Won
The City of Belmont is calling painters and photographers from around the state to participate in the 2009 Art & Photographic Awards, to be held at Belmont Forum Shopping Centre from 10th August to 22nd August, with exciting prizes to be won.
The Prizes awarded are:
Art Awards
First Prize Open Acquisitive $4,000
Perth Aiport Prize for Aboriginal Art Acquisitive $3,000
Ascpects of Belmont Non Acquisitive $1,000
Plus - Highly Commended, Local Resident and People's Choice
Photographic Awards
Belmont Focus Acquisitive $450
Open Photography Non Acquisitive $450
Plus - Highly Commended and People's Choice
Entrants in both the art and photographic mediums are offered a delivery and collection point near Fremantle to allow wider participation around the state - an initiative which has proved popular with entrants during the past 2 years.
The Awards attract highly respected judges and coincides with a Youth Arts project also on display for the duration of the exhibition.
The popular People’s Choice Award allows the public to determine their favourite artwork and in the process vie for a $200 shopping voucher from Belmont Forum Shopping Centre.
