Get on your bike for Bike Week!

Bike Week is Western Australia’s annual celebration of people riding bikes for transport, fun and  healthier lifestyles. Running from Friday 15 March - Sunday 24 March, it's a great opportunity to reacquaint yourself with your bike or even try riding for the first time.

The City of Belmont is running a range of events to celebrate the week and all things cycling. Jump on your wheels and come and join us!

Harmonise Cultural Festival

4pm-8pm Saturday 16 March
Tomato Lake, Kewdale

Ride your bike to Tomato Lake and experience the City’s cultural and ethnic diversity at our FREE cultural festival!
Discover the world with music, activities and food celebrating the City’s unique heritage and multicultural character.

The Bike Valet will be in attendance to secure your bike while you enjoy the event.

A Roll down Memory Lane 

6:30pm-7:30pm Wednesday 20 March
Ruth Faulkner Public Library 

Join medal winning cyclist John McGrath and WA Historical Cycle Club’s Robert Frith for a roll down memory lane.
Covering the highlights of local legend John McGrath’s cycling career and the intricacies of classic bike restoration, this is a must see event for fans of two wheeled history.

Infants and Toddlers on Bicycles 

10am OR 11:15am Thursday 21 March
Ruth Faulkner Public Library

Join Christina from People on Bicycles for a practical information and demonstration session about riding with infants and young children. Learn about the different options to carry your extra little passengers on your bicycle, pros and cons for a range of bike conversions, how to add additional luggage and tips to make rides a safe and joyful experience for everyone.

Belmont Bike Breakfast

6:30am-8:30am Friday 22 March
Goodwood Parade boat ramp, Balbuk Way, Rivervale

Cycling is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, move your body, save money and get around your local area. To celebrate this year's Bike Week, the City of Belmont invites you to join us at our annual Bike Breakfast.
Start your morning with a cycle to Balbuk Reserve on the Swan River and join us for a free healthy breakfast. Park your bike safely with Bike Valet, come and have a chat with the team from Bike Dr and participate in some morning stretches with the team from Thrive Wellness.

No bookings are required - we look forward to seeing you for a morning cycle and breakfast!
