 Local Government Elections

Local Government elections are an important opportunity for you to have your say by voting for the people who will guide and shape your community. Local Government elections are held every two years with 2019 being an election year in the City of Belmont. There are four vacancies to be filled at this election, which will be held on Saturday 19 October 2019.

If you are a resident and you are already correctly enrolled on the State or Commonwealth Electoral Roll, you are automatically enrolled to vote in Local Government elections.

You can confirm your enrolment status with the Western Australian Electoral Commission online at www.elections.wa.gov.au or by phoning 13 63 03.

If you own or occupy property in the City of Belmont, and live in another local government district, you can apply to go onto the City’s Owners and Occupiers Roll. Information on enrolment eligibility and the relevant Enrolment Eligibility Claim Form can be found here.

To be eligible to vote in the 2019 Local Government elections you must ensure that you are enrolled to vote before 30 August 2019.
