 Short-stay Accommodation

The growing trend to locate short-stay accommodation such as AirBnB in the suburbs is an ongoing challenge for all Local Councils across WA.

City of Belmont Councillors last month voted in support of informing residents of the City of Belmont of the State-wide Parliamentary Inquiry that is currently underway.

The State Government's Economic and Industry Standing Committee has resolved to inquire and report on the regulation of short-stay accommodation in Western Australia.

Visit www.parliament.wa.gov.au for details of the inquiry including the Terms of Reference.

Submissions to the inquiry can be made in writing to the Principal Research Officer of the Economics and Industry Standing Committee or by email laeisc@parliament.wa.gov.au and shall be lodged on or before Friday, 25 January 2019.

If you have any questions, contact either the Principal Research Officer of the Economic and Industry Standing Committee or the Clerk Assistant on 9222 7494.
