Residents and ratepayers can dispose of whitegoods, motor oil, plate glass, mattresses, bed bases & car batteries on this day.
Gas cylinders, old paint, computer equipment and TVs, fluorescent light tubes and household hazardous waste will not be accepted.
Whitegoods include old refrigerators, washing machines, ovens and dishwashers.
All whitegoods, motor oil, car batteries, mattresses and ensemble bed bases are recyclable so by using this service you are helping our environment as you clean up. Plate glass is not a recyclable product but can be difficult to dispose of. Please ensure mattresses and ensemble bed bases are dry and unsoiled.
There is no limit to the number of appliances you drop off, but remember to bring a helper if you have a heavy or large load.
For occupational safety and health reasons, motor oil can only be dropped off in containers of no greater volume than 20 litres. Up to 60 litres per resident will be accepted. Motor oil as waste from commercial operations will not be accepted.
Enclosed foot wear and proof of property ownership or residency within the City of Belmont is required.
