Picture of stables

The City has a special area known as the 'Residential and Stables' area which is bounded by the Swan River, Tonkin Highway, Great Eastern Highway, Hardey Road, Matheson Road and the Ascot Racecourse, Ascot. It is a unique area close to the Ascot Racecourse which is firmly ingrained in Belmont history and character.

All stables within this area are required to be registered with the City and should comply with the City's Local Planning Scheme and the Stable Premises Local Law 2015.

Inspections of the stables are carried out on a routine basis by our Environmental Health Officers.
