 Sign Applications

All signage requires planning approval. Any alteration to an existing sign (this includes graphics/wording) will require the submission of a new application for planning approval.

Local Planning Policy No 12 - Sign Applications details the type of signage that is permitted within the City. A copy of the local planning policy is provided below. A copy of the MRS Form 1 application form, Additional Information Sheet for Advertisement Approval and the sign application checklist are attached to the local planning policy.

Schedule 5 of Local Planning Scheme No 15 lists exempted advertisements. A copy of the local planning scheme is provided below.

The following information is required to be submitted when lodging a sign application:

  • MRS Form 1 (Note: MRS Form 1 must be signed by the registered landowner).
  • Additional Information Sheet for Advertisement Approval
  • Sign Application Checklist
  • Planning Fee
