Electoral Roll
Residents are entitled to vote in a local government election provided that they are on the State electoral Roll for the City of Belmont.

The roll for the election consists of:
- Individuals who live in the City of Belmont district and who are enrolled on the State Electoral Roll for a residential address within the City of Belmont (the Resident’s Roll)
- Non-resident owners (residential and commercial) and occupiers (commercial) of rateable property in the City of Belmont who have an approved current application for the City of Belmont Non-Resident Owners and Occupiers Roll (Owners and Occupiers Roll)
Residents Roll
The Resident’s Roll is maintained by the Western Australian Electoral Commission.
If you live in the City of Belmont and you are on the State or Commonwealth electoral roll for that address, you will be on the Residents Roll automatically. This means you can vote in City of Belmont elections, regardless of whether you own or rent your property.

You must apply formally (a “claim of eligibility”) to be on the roll for the Non-Resident Owners and Occupiers Roll. Once an application has been accepted by the Chief Executive Officer you will be included on the electoral roll.
