What is cabaret?
Cabaret is a theatrical live performance genre that uses music, singing and dance as its primary forms, but can also include elements of circus, burlesque, magic and drag. It is identified with intimate venues, proximity to the performers and often topical content.
Does my event have adult content?
The Afterdark Performance Lounge is an 18+ program and some performances may contain adult themes and sexual references. Check individual show listings for more information.
What’s the difference between resident and non-resident tickets?
Residents in the City of Belmont are eligible for a discounted ticket. To receive this discounted ticket, you must provide your full residential address when prompted in your Humanitix booking.
Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?
Refunds for your ticket are available up to 3 days prior to your event and can be processed through your Humanitix account.
I am under 18, can I attend?
The Afterdark Performance Lounge is a licensed venue and all Afterdark events are recommended to audiences of 18 years and over. Any attendee under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you are thinking of bringing someone under 18 years we recommend contacting a member of the events team to discuss the suitability of the performance:

I lost my ticket - can I still get in?
You can still enter the venue if you have lost your ticket. Our Front of House Staff will be able to help you with this on your arrival.
Can I show my ticket on my phone?
We can scan your ticket using the QR Code provided on your phone. Please ensure that your phone is not set to dark mode before your ticket is scanned.
Can I upgrade to VIP?
No, GA tickets can not be upgraded to Premium tickets. If you wish to switch to a Premium booking you will need to make a new booking.

Is there a waitlist if it sells out?
Yes. If a show has sold out, you can add your name to a waitlist in Humanitix. If a ticket becomes available, you will be notified via your listed email address.
What time does my show start and finish?
The start and finish time of your show will be listed on the Humanitix event page for the show.
What time should I arrive?
Doors open 30 minutes before the start of the show. Seating is unallocated and early arrival is recommended.
Will there be an intermission?
There is an intermission of 30 minutes for the Thursday and Friday night double bills. All other shows have no intermission.
Can I bring my own food?
No, you cannot bring your own food into the venue. Food options are available to pre-order through Humanitix, with a limited number also available for purchase on the night.
Is it a licensed event?
Yes, this is a licensed event with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for card-only purchases.
Can I BYO?
No. This is a licensed venue. There is no BYO permitted at the event.
I have dietary needs/food allergies – what can I order?
A variety of charcuterie boards are available including a vegetarian, vegan and gluten free option.

How do I get there using public transport?
The Glasshouse is accessible by public transport via the 38, 37, 270, 935 and 998 buses. We recommend consulting the

Where do I park? Are there accessible bays?
Three ACROD bays are located opposite the City of Belmont Civic Centre at 215 Wright Street, Cloverdale WA 6105. The venue entrance is approximately 100 metres from the furthest ACROD bay, over flat, paved ground. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the Arts and Place Team:

Is there a smoking area?
This is a smoke-free event. No smoking is permitted anywhere in or around the venue.
Can I take photos or videos?
No. Recording and photography during the performances is not permitted.
Is there a dress code?
Afterdark does not have a dress code, but we encourage our audiences to embrace the cabaret spirit.
