ACROD parking enforcement
ACROD parking enforcement for private commercial property
Many local businesses provide ACROD parking bays on privately owned, publicly accessible land. Misuse of these bays can limit access for people who rely on them.
To support businesses and improve ACROD parking compliance, our Rangers can monitor and enforce ACROD parking bays on private commercial property, where the property owner or tenant provides written authorisation.
What this service offers
By entering into an agreement with the City of Belmont:
- City Rangers are authorised to patrol ACROD bays on your private commercial property
- Rangers may issue cautions or infringement notices where misuse is confirmed
- Enforcement is carried out under the Local Government (Parking for People with Disabilities) Regulations 2014
- This helps deter misuse and improves access for ACROD permit holders
An infringement for parking in an ACROD bay without a valid permit carries a penalty of $500.
Who can apply
This arrangement is available to:
- Property owners, or
- Lessees or tenants who are responsible for the parking area.
