Take a look at what’s coming to the Museum!
In 2012 the remnants of a 19th Century convict built road made of 300 year old jarrah discs was uncovered buried under what is now Great Eastern Highway. Since that time the City has been assisted by Dr Ian MacLeod in conserving the historic ‘cheese-like’ shape wooden discs. They have now found their forever home in the new Belmont Museum’s state-of-the-art climate controlled display at Belmont Hub. Keep an eye on our socials for more exciting behind-the-scenes stories!
