City of Belmont 2021 Election Results

Cr Phil Marks was elected as Mayor of the City of Belmont at a Special Council Meeting on 18 October, 2021.

This follows the re-election Bernie Ryan, George Sekulla and Jenny Davis, and the election of Deborah Sessions, and Natalie Carter as City of Belmont Councillors at the 16 October, 2021 Ordinary Election.

Cr Deborah Sessions and Cr George Sekulla represent the West Ward, Cr Bernie Ryan the East Ward, and Cr Jenny Davis and Cr Natalie Carter the South Ward.

All newly elected councillors will serve a four year term, expiring in October 2025.

Also at the Special Council meeting Cr Robert Rossi was elected as Deputy Mayor.

Cr Marks was first elected to the City of Belmont East Ward in 1999 and has been the City of Belmont Mayor since 2011.

Mayor Marks said he was grateful for the faith and trust his fellow Councillors had placed in him to continue in the position of Mayor.

Mayor Marks acknowledged the commitment and dedication of service made by Cr Janet Powell to the City over the past 20 years, and thanked her for her invaluable efforts.

He also acknowledged Cr Lauren Cayoun, who retired at the election, for her 8 years of service to the community.
