Changes to Entry Requirements at Belmont Museum and Ruth Faulkner Library

This information has since been updated following advice from the Health Department. Please read the article posted on 11 February for further information.

In line with the State Government’s expanded proof of vaccination requirements, from Monday 31 January, people aged 16 years and over will be required to show proof of COVID-19 double vaccination prior to entry when visiting Belmont Museum and Ruth Faulkner Library in Belmont Hub.

The expanded vaccination requirements designate Museums as a higher-risk venue, and as Belmont Museum is co-located within the same building as Ruth Faulkner Library, the City is required to implement change of entry requirements to both facilities.

From next Monday, visitors to Belmont Museum and Ruth Faulkner Library will be greeted by a concierge upon arrival where they will be required to provide proof of vaccination.

Patrons can show proof of vaccination either in a digital or paper-based form, along with acceptable forms of identification if they do not use the ServiceWA app.

To ensure all visitors are showing proof of vaccination, entry to the facilities will only be accessible via the Library and Museum Entry (adjacent from the Civic Centre), with entry to the Library via the café now closed. Toilet facilities are available on the first floor of Belmont Hub.
