Alternative access to Library and Museum services
If you are unable to or do not wish to access the Ruth Faulkner Library and Belmont Museum in-person, there are still a wide range of ways that our team can provide you with services and resources.
Joining the Library
You can join the Ruth Faulkner Library for free through our
online registration form.
Once you have joined and been supplied with a membership number and PIN, you can start accessing a range of
eLibrary resources such as
streaming services,
eBooks,
eAudiobooks,
study assistance and
children’s activities. Having a library membership and PIN also means you can register to click and collect items either through selecting specific resources via our catalogue bookings or by using our Surprise Me service.
Borrowing, returns and renewals
Click and collect borrowing
If you are a member, you can reserve resources for collection using either our
online catalogue or our app (available on
Apple and
Android). All you need is your library barcode and PIN. Once logged in, browse the catalogue, and click the ‘hold’ button on the item you wish to borrow. You may borrow up to 15 items per library card.
Once our team has collected these into a bundle for collection, you will be notified via telephone or email to arrange a collection time. If you receive an email, please contact the Library on 9477 7150 to arrange a pickup time and let us know if you require any children’s activity packs. If you are a new member who has not previously confirmed their account with the Library, you will be asked to bring photo ID at the time of collection.
Bundles will be available for collection from the pickup point near the
children’s outdoor area on the Robinson Avenue side of Belmont Hub in Cloverdale.

surprise me service is a great option.
By selecting the types of resources that you are interested in and letting us know about supplying some of the authors/filmmakers/illustrators/musicians that you’ve previously enjoyed, our team can curate a surprise pack for you.
