Borrowing limits
With a library membership card, you can borrow up to a maximum of 15 items, except for:
Most items can be borrowed for 3 weeks, except for special loan collections. Express DVDs can be borrowed for only 7 days and Bookclub sets for 6 weeks at a time.
How to renew items
To renew your items, you can log into your account, visit or phone the library.
You can generally renew items twice, unless they are:

More than three weeks overdue;

Reserved for another borrower;

From special collections such as Express DVDs, Showcase and Bookclub sets.
Conditions apply to renewing items on loan from another library (inter-library loans).
Late return of borrowed items
Please do your best to return your items on time. You cannot borrow any other items until all outstanding accounts are paid or the items have been returned.
The following penalties apply for late returns:
Return of Inter-library loan items
In the event an item from another library is lost or damaged while on loan to you, you agree to pay any lost, damaged or administrative fees as determined by the lending library.
Borrow using the self-serve kiosks
You can use the library self-service kiosks to borrow your items.
If you need help to use the kiosks, a staff member will be happy to help you.
You need your library card to borrow items from the library. Please see a staff member if you have forgotten or lost your library card.
