Children’s space
The children’s space is designed to stimulate the senses with vibrant colours, cosy nooks for reading and unique tunnel entrance.
Families will find a beautiful selection of books for babies and younger children and access to Busy Things online educational games, with easy access to a parenting room.
The children’s space and neighbouring children’s courtyard plays host to both regular children’s programming activities and special events.

Parenting room
Our parenting room is conveniently co-located with the children’s space, and offers comfortable seating, change facilities and restrooms for families.
Digital hub
This digital hub is dedicated to your printing, computing and study needs with 16 public computers, an accessibility computer and power access at almost every table.
Digi-hub with bub
This secure, child-friendly space allows parents and caregivers to enjoy the digital services available at Ruth Faulkner Library while keeping little ones occupied and close by. The room is equipped with a selection of books and toys plus a screen streaming ABC for Kids to keep children entertained while you work or study. PC access is available, or connect your own device to the free public Wi-Fi.
The Lounge
The Lounge offers facilities to read, study or relax, and is furnished with a variety of comfortable seating options including bean bags, laptop tables and round tables. The Lounge also hosts our extensive manga and graphic novel collections.
Quiet room
The quiet room is a device-free zone. This shared space may be used for meditation, prayer, quiet reflection and reading.
