Children with additional needs
There is something for children of all ages and abilities at the library. We offer a range of support and facilities for children with additional needs.
All Abilities Storytime
For children with additional needs from 3 to 8 years and their family
In this program designed specifically for children with additional needs our library presenter will gently explore one classic narrative - providing multiple ways to engage with the story though sound, smell, play, taste and touch. These sessions are a wonderful way to connect with library services and other families with similar experiences in a welcoming and safe space. A quiet room is available for children who need to take breaks during the session.
