Henri Strzelecki is an artist based in Cloverdale.

This series playfully explores the quiet, joyful existence of cats. Small in scale these acrylic paintings invite intimacy while hand sewn fabric frames soften their edges, suggesting care and domesticity.

Cats embody a freedom that feels increasingly out of range. They do not strive to be anything other that what they are. They rest without guilt, seek comfort without hesitation and meet the world with curiosity on their own terms.

You are invited to slow down, relax and observe with a sense of humour.
