Entries are now open for the 2025 City of Belmont Local History Photographic competition.
This year we’re looking for photos relating to the theme “Home Made”, showcasing anything that was made by residents and visitors in the City of Belmont. This could be a photo of a house your grandparents built, a photo of your children eating their favourite homemade cupcakes or a piece of art that is proudly hanging on your wall painted by a family member.
You don't need to submit a photo relevant to the theme of the Local History Photographic Competition, it can be any photo taken in the past. We think a theme is a good way to spark your memory of photos you may have at home, and diversify our photo collection!
Enter a photo via Belmont Connect for the chance to win from a prize pool of over $700!
First place will receive $500, with a themed winner and highly commended scoring $100 each, and the People’s Choice Award winner will receive an amazing hamper.
We’re looking to grow the Belmont Museum photo collection, to make sure we’re doing our part to preserve the history of the area.
