Progress on the Belvidere Streetscape Revitalisation project is well underway with works now progressing to Stage 2.
Construction on the Stage 1 area between Leake Street and Gardiner Street began in April and focussed on major upgrades to the infrastructure and shared spaces.
This included installation of the new pedestrian paving, street furniture, electrical works and preparation of the garden beds and green spaces for future landscaping.
Stage 2 includes the streetscape between Gardiner Street and Keymer Street, and is anticipated to be completed in late September. Works will then begin on the Stage 3 area between Keymer Street and Somers Street.
Belvidere Street is still open for business while works are underway. Make sure to stop by your favourite spot along the strip to enjoy a coffee, bite to eat, or local service.
