Building creative confidence: Art Awards Workshop Series returns in April

We’re excited to welcome back our annual Art Awards Workshop Series, providing local artists and creatives the chance to build their skills and grow their confidence ahead of the 2026 Art Awards.

Delivered with support from Artsource, the series is designed to make professional development more accessible to our community, supporting creative participation from locals at all stages of their practice.

This year’s program features five practical workshops covering key technical and creative areas, including writing strong artist statements, preparing exhibition proposals, and how to document and promote your artwork.

Each workshop is led by an Arts industry professional, provide a welcoming space for participants to learn directly from industry experts, connect with fellow artists and strengthen their submission for the Art Awards.

Workshops are free for students, $5 for City of Belmont residents, and $10 for non-residents.

The series is held between Friday 17 April and Friday 12 June in the Events Room, Ruth Faulkner Library.
