We’re upgrading the lighting at Centenary Park, with works set to begin in early May.
This project will improve the park’s amenity for local sporting clubs and the broader community by delivering upgraded lighting for the rugby pitch. The lighting will meet Rugby Australia’s National Facility Guidelines, providing better conditions for training, safer gameplay, and more opportunities to host local fixtures.
The project was identified as a priority in the City’s 2022 Recreation Facility Needs Analysis and is funded by the City of Belmont.
Our contractor will begin works in early May. The lighting areas will be fenced off, and works will include:
The park will remain open for casual use. Visitors are encouraged to be mindful of fencing and exercise caution around the work areas. The contractor will work to minimise noise, vibration, and dust, and all works will take place Monday to Friday, from 7am to 4pm.
We appreciate your patience while we complete these important upgrades and look forward to delivering improved facilities for our community.
