City of Belmont reschedules Kidz Fest to 27 February

Following the latest advice from the State Government on the evolving COVID-19 lockdown for Perth region, the City of Belmont has decided to reschedule Kidz Fest until Saturday, 27 February.

The event was to have taken place on Saturday 13 February 2021, and it will now occur two weeks later on Saturday 27 February 2021.

The City will continue to monitor the advice provided by the State Government and will make further changes to the event if circumstances change.

Current ticket holders will be notified that the event date has changed and are encouraged to cancel their tickets if unable to make the new event date 27 February. If you still wish to attend no action is required.

Children can expect to have a great time at Kidz Fest with a line-up of free live entertainment, rides and much more.

To accommodate as many community members across the day, the event will be divided into two sessions and attendees will be required to choose either the 9am to 12noon session or 1pm to 4pm session to attend. Book your free tickets via Eventbrite.

The City takes the health and safety of the community very seriously and has taken every precaution to make Kidz Fest a COVID-safe event.

These steps include:
  • Limiting attendee numbers by dividing the event into ticketed sessions;
  • Hand sanitiser stations at the event;
  • COVID marshals ensuring appropriate physical distancing;
  • SafeWA app contact tracing;
  • Ride cleaning between sessions;
  • Signage encouraging COVID safe behaviour.
All activities, attractions and parking are free.

Stage performances will include the Dinosaur Show, Snow Sisters, Curtis and Martha’s Ocean and the Bush Ranger Faeries.

Children can try circus skills, have their faces painted, try the high ropes course and watch live entertainment.

They can also enjoy cuddly farm animals, nerf battles, rock climbing and mermaids, as well as an exciting range of carnival rides to try.

The Junior Sports Expo will have handy information about local sporting clubs and is the place where children are encouraged to have-a-go at a variety of junior sports.

There will be food and refreshments available for purchase including ice cream, churros, satay, chips, corn and pizza.

Kidz Fest is a smoke and alcohol-free event proudly brought to you by the City of Belmont - the City of Opportunity and supported by Lotterywest.

A shuttle bus will also be available from the City of Belmont Civic Centre at 215 Wright Street, Cloverdale.
