We’re creating a better City of Belmont, together.
The results of the 2024 MARKYT Community and Business Scorecards are now available.
They provide valuable insights into how residents and local businesses view our performance and priorities for the future.
Conducted by Catalyse, an independent research company, the scorecards measure satisfaction and allow us to compare our performance with other local governments.
This year 1,010 residents completed the Community Scorecard, and 93 businesses took part in the Business Scorecard.
The Community Scorecard results show that we are industry leaders in 9 key areas:
- Value for money from rates.
- Openness and transparency.
- Disability, access, and inclusion.
- Multiculturalism and cultural diversity.
- Sustainable practices.
- Library services.
- Website.
- Belmont Bulletin.
- BeNews email newsletter.
Community feedback also highlighted the need for a continued focus on safety and crime prevention, better lighting in streets and public spaces, improved streetscapes with trees and verges, traffic management and waste management.
The Business Scorecard identified us as an industry leader in two key areas:
- Creating an attractive area to own or operate a business.
- Understanding the challenges faced by local businesses.
Businesses emphasised safety and crime prevention, parking management, and Council’s leadership as priority areas.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the scorecards. Your feedback helps us shape a community where everyone has the opportunity to belong.
