We’re excited to reveal the local residents taking out a prize in our 2025 Waterwise Verge Garden Competition.
The competition was launched to reward the hard work of residents who have transformed their verges into beautiful native gardens.
Each entry showcased how verge gardens can make a big difference to our community - not only enhancing the beauty of our streets, but supporting biodiversity, improving water efficiency, and providing environmental benefits.
Judging was based on presentation, biodiversity, and percentage of waterwise plants. After careful deliberation, the winners have been selected:
1st Place – Alan Perkins
2nd Place – Tracey
3rd Place – Finn Chilcott and Mark and Elizabeth Stieler
Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Verge Garden Program and competition.
Together, you’ve shown how small changes can make a big difference in creating beautiful, welcoming streets and a healthier city.
Registrations for next year's Verge Garden Program will open in early 2026.
