Enhancing our foreshore with riverbank restoration and landscaping works at Garvey Park

A 330m section of the Garvey Park foreshore will be enhanced as part of an upcoming foreshore restoration and landscaping project.

The riverbank located between Ascot Kayak Club and Hilton Grove - classified as Section 2 - is facing erosion issues, and requires stabilisation works to protect the foreshore and restore the natural area.

With erosion impacting the existing infrastructure, we're using this opportunity to improve the surrounding amenities for the community to enjoy. The project includes upgrades to the shared footpaths, timber jetty, parking facilities and riverbank access.

The scope and design for the project has been developed in close consultation with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attraction to ensure protection of our natural assets and local wildlife.

We’re encouraging the community to share their feedback on the project and design elements to ensure it continues to align with our community values and needs. Feedback is open until Sunday 22 September 2024.
