Experience the excitement of the 2021 Avon Descent and cheer on the competitors as they head towards the finish line of this gruelling 124km white water race at the City of Belmont’s
FREE Family Fun Day on Sunday, 15 August 2021 from 11am to 3pm.
Held at one of the City’s premier parks, Garvey Park in Ascot, the Family Fun Day is a great way to follow the thrill of the Avon Descent along with free children’s activities and live race commentary.
Unique to the City of Belmont’s Avon Descent Family Fun Day, scenic helicopter rides will be available on the day. Spectators can get a bird’s eye view of the race and the Swan River.
City of Belmont Mayor Cr Phil Marks encouraged residents to come along to this community event and to enjoy a relaxed afternoon out.
“Come along and encourage the competitors as they go past on the last leg of this gruelling race,” Mayor Marks said.
A large seated undercover marquee will be provided for spectators, and there will be activities available for children.
Free food and beverage options will be available for City of Belmont residents (limits apply), as well as for purchase.
