FOGO Rollout Update

The City has reached an important milestone in the rollout of the new bin system, with over 13,500 households now receiving a full FOGO service.

Due to recent flooding across the Trans-Australian Railway, some of the remaining properties will experience a delay to their scheduled FOGO transition date.

Severe flooding in Rawlinna has resulted in closure of the Trans-Australian Railway – the primary delivery route between Western Australia and the Eastern States. This has impacted the delivery of the new kerbside bins for some of the remaining properties.

We are working closely with our suppliers to resume deliveries as quickly and safely as possible, with minimal impacts on residents.

Households affected by the delays will be directly notified by letter, and the City’s website will be regularly updated to reflect the latest delivery dates. You can confirm the date of your FOGO bin delivery using the 'Find your collection dates' search tool on our website, or contacting our FOGO Crew.

The situation with the rail closure continues to evolve, with the possibility of further delays as the extent of the damage to the rail tracks is assessed and floodwaters recede.
