The City’s Trees for Residents program is now underway.
The program enables residents to opt in to receive a free tree for their property which provides benefits such as promoting cooling, shade and stormwater filtration at their home as well as assisting the City in increasing canopy cover.
There are six tree types available as part of the program. The table below can be used to help community members to decide the right type for their property.
Stocks are limited. To express interest in receiving a free tree, contact the City’s Parks and Environment team at
environment@belmont.wa.gov.au with your name, contact number and property address.
Remember - trees received as part of the City’s Trees for Residents program must be planted within private property boundaries and not on the verge.
