As summer edges closer, the City of Belmont announces two back-to-back events guaranteed to kickstart the holiday season with excitement and cheer.
Prepare for a weekend where joy, entertainment, and community spirit take centre stage.
Carols in the Park and Let’s Celebrate Belmont Fair are set to transform Faulkner Park into a hotspot for celebration, connection, and community fun on 8 and 9 December.
The Glasshouse will also be transformed into a community market space, featuring over 40 stalls with unique gifts and local crafts, perfect for holiday shoppers across the two days.
Starting on Friday 8 December at Faulkner Park, Carols in the Park will welcome Christmas festivities.
Unwrap the magic of Christmas with heart-warming carols by local school choirs and performers, facepainting, craft activities and roving performers. This year we also see a special surprise performance for kids and the first carols performance from the Belmont HUB Choir.
City of Belmont Mayor Robert Rossi expressed his excitement towards the involvement of the City’s youth.
“We are thrilled to provide local schools with a platform to showcase their talent and encourage students to hold an active role in community events and initiatives.
"With a longstanding connection to the community, this free event is more than just a tradition, it's a display of genuine festive spirit in the City of Belmont,” said Mayor Rossi.
To top off your yearly dose of festive fun, there’ll be a spectacular fireworks display and a special appearance by Santa himself, spreading joy amongst the young and young-at-heart.

“Let’s Celebrate Belmont Fair is a wonderful way to celebrate the year that has been, and all we have achieved within our community.
"This event highlights our local talent whilst also inviting talent from outside the City to share the stage, it’s an event that will showcase what makes the City of Belmont truly unique,” said Mayor Rossi.
