New operator appointed for Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre

We’ve awarded the tender for the management of Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre to Belgravia Health and Leisure Group, following a decision at the 26 May 2026 Ordinary Council Meeting.

The current operator, BlueFit, has managed the facility since 2019 under a long-term contract due to expire at the end of June.

Earlier this year we held an open tender process for the management of the centre and we’d like to thank the companies that submitted proposals. We will be working with both operators over the coming months as part of the transition.

We know Belmont Oasis is an important part of people’s daily routines, and the focus is to continue providing accessible, high-quality sport, recreation and aquatic services for our community.

Both operators are also working through transition arrangements, with a focus on supporting staff and maintaining continuity for centre users.

Members, swim school families, user groups and other centre users can expect further communications from BlueFit and Belgravia Leisure in the coming weeks, including information about the transition process, key dates and answers to frequently asked questions.

Belgravia is an experienced provider of aquatic and leisure services, managing facilities across Australia. They’ll take on the day-to-day operations at Belmont Oasis, including programs and services from Wednesday 1 July.

This change is part of good financial governance and planning for the facility to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our community, now and in the future.

We’d like to thank BlueFit for their contribution to Belmont Oasis over the past 7 years, and for their support as we move through this next stage.
