Our Health Local Laws provide a framework for regulating and managing public health within the City of Belmont.
They outline requirements for property owners and occupiers that help reduce risks to public health and minimise impacts on neighbouring properties and residents.
We will be reviewing our Health Local Laws in two stages.
- Stage 1 Review: Minor review to ensure our Health Local Laws are aligned with new legislative requirements.
- Stage 2 Review: Full review once the State Government finalises its new health regulations.
The minor review is currently underway, and the draft Health Local Laws 2026 are now available for comment.
Public submissions are open until Monday 12 October 2026.
