Food Safari: Italian Cuisine and Culture

Partnering with Mondo founder Vince Garreffa, this edition of Food Safari is heading to the Italian Peninsula.

Join our MC Aisha Novakovich, the founder of Modest Fashion Australia, for an adventure into Italian cuisine and culture.

Leading the safari is Vince Garreffa, a local legend whose life story is intrinsically linked to food and culture. After migrating to Australia from Italy, he founded the iconic butcher and grocer Mondo in 1979, which has grown to three stores in Inglewood, Osborne Park and Belmont.

He has since gone on to become an ambassador for Lifeline WA, and in 2022 he was named City of Stirling's Community Citizen of the Year.

Joined by his crack team of Mondo butchers and food connoisseurs, this is going to be a food sensation like no other.

Food Safari uses humour, food, and passionate community members to gently introduce cultural conversations towards awareness, understanding and appreciation for the positive and less positive storylines of each other's lived experience.

The event highlights the 'Racism. It Stops with Me.' campaign, which asks participants important questions about the role of racism in shaping society, the way we see ourselves, and how we interact with one another.

This event is for one night only and will sell out, so book your tickets today to avoid missing out!
