Dive in to the City of Belmont 2026 Art Awards Workshop Series!
Learn to articulate your practice in a genuine, informative, and engaging way.
In this workshop, we will practice creating for-purpose artist statements. What and who exactly is an artist statement for? What should you include in them, and what should you leave out? From getting started, to tips and tricks, and tailoring your words for purpose - learn the art of communicating about your art. All welcome.
What to bring: something to write with, and something to write on.
Optional: pictures of your artwork/s (on your phone is fine!) and, if you wish to, a draft artist statement for feedback/workshopping.
