Join us for a special lecture during Science Week on the importance of STEM as a future skill.

For adults and young people 16+

It's Science Week! Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be at the forefront of science, working to tackle global issues like climate change? Want to be inspired? To shed some light on this topic, we've invited a scientist from Curtin University to speak about her experiences as a woman in STEM.

Kathy Kuper completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Geoscience at the Johannes Gutenberg-University in Mainz, Germany. Kathy will delve into her experiences as a woman in science, discussing the challenges and triumphs she has encountered along the way.

Learn about Kathy's exciting projects and research. She will offer an interactive glimpse into her work – from field to lab – and share her passion for the fascinating world of Earth sciences. Discover the crucial role of geoscientists in shaping the future, and how these skills are vital for addressing global challenges.
